Samsung Reveals the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Edge – Curved Innovation

Samsung just showed two new devices at IFA in Berlin. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Edge.

The Galaxy Edge is brings a new dimension to curved displays. It extends over the right side of the screen and you can put your most used apps there for example, giving you access to them at all times. When the phone is in standby, a few simple strokes show the time on the edge rather than you having to turn on the entire display.

The SDK is going to be available soon so developers are surely going to bring out some cool stuff for the edge. The only issue we see is for left handed people, than again you can just flip the screen but you will not have access to the home button for example.

With the innovative curved screen of the Galaxy Edge, not much attention was paid to the Galaxy Note 4. In terms of technical specifications the devices are almost identical. The Note 4 will come in two different versions, one based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 2.7 GHz processor, the other version will have the Samsung Exynos 5 1.9 GHz processor. The Qualcomm based version has an advantage when it comes to LTE speed.

Here is the detailed technical overview and comparison of all three devices.
