At the end of last month it was reported that Microsoft was going to drop the Nokia brand and start selling Microsoft-branded Lumia smartphones instead.
The first smartphone has now been launched, the Lumia 535.
Microsoft is continuing to focus on the entry level smartphone market with this latest device. It is priced at around $130 (varies per country) and will first launch in China and Hong Kong.
The 5″ Lumia 535 is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 CPU and has a 5MP front- and rear-facing camera.
It has 8GB of onboard storage and a microSD slot (up to 128GB) and Microsoft also throws in 15GB of free OneDrive storage.
The Lumia 535 is also available in a variety of colors: black, white, green, cyan and orange.
