The first Microsoft-branded Lumia phone has been released. The Lumia 535 is targeted at the entry-level market but Microsoft is also working on their first high-end flagship device which is going to be called Lumia 940 and run on Windows 10.
A product sheet from China of the Lumia 940 was leaked and it reveals a number of details about the upcoming flagship. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 805 2.7GHz CPU, 3GB of RAM and have 32, 64 or 128 GB of onboard storage. The 5″ smartphone will have a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080.
Microsoft continues to focus on the camera features as selling points. The rear camera has a whopping 24MP and is supported by a LED-flash while the front-facing camera comes in at 5MP.
Videos are recorded at a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, 60fps.
The product sheet also highlights Windows 10 as the OS so the Lumia 940 might just be the first smartphone based on the OS.
