As expected, Apple today released a smartwatch which they simply call Apple Watch.
Three versions are going to be available at the beginning of 2015: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition. The Apple watch has a sapphire display and will be available in two sizes – 38 and 42 mm.
Apple Watch is built from custom alloys of stainless steel, aluminum, and 18-karat gold.
One thing that has not been received well with previous smartwatches have been the wristbands. Apple goes all the way and lets you chose what you want – leather, plastic or stainless steel.
The digital crown gives you a number of navigation features and also completes the design nicely.
Apple Watch is going to be available for $349 at the beginning of 2015, not surprisingly higher priced compared to other smartwatches. Is it worth the wait or would you chose the Moto 360, LG G Watch R or another smartwatch? Here is a detailed comparison and lots of Apple Watch images below.
