Twitter today announced that they are rolling out a buy button with selected partners and a small percentage of test users in the US. Users can save their payment methods with Twitter (the company says all information is of course encrypted and secure) so when a Tweet appears with a buy button, the shopping process starts and is completed in a few simple steps. First you will get a bit more product information, you enter your shipping and payment information before it is all sent to the merchant for deliver.
Twitter has partnered with a number of companies for this platform: Fancy, Gumroad, Musictoday and Stripe.
