Samsung has showed off the world’s biggest curved 4K Ultra-HD TV at IFA 2014 in Berlin. It measures 105 inches, offers a resolution of 5120 x 2160 which is up to 1 million pixel and a aspect ratio of 21:9 It delivers five times the resolution of a Full HD device and has upscale features included.
The device also has a built-in 160W speaker.
Samsung is betting big on the market for curved TVs. It now has 17 different models, ranging from 48 to 105 inches. The company said at IFA that over 50% of all their 4K UHD sales now are curved devices which gives them confident in the strategy to focus even more on that area.
One thing that is lacking so far is good content to make use of the insane resolution these devices have to offer. Samsung said that they have partnered with 20th Century Fox to bring UHD content to Samsung TVs.
There was no information in regards to availability or pricing for the 105″ UHD curved TV. But it would most likely just depress you anyway.
