There have been many stories surrounding the upcoming iPhone 6 launch. Just recently it was reported that Foxconn hired 100,000 workers to prepare for the iPhone launch. That is an insane number even for a company like Foxconn as it increases their employee count by about 10% for a single product.
Apparently that was not enough. Terry Gou, the CEO of Hon Hai Group (parent company of Foxconn) said that the company is in the final testing stage of 10,000 “Foxbots” which will be building Apple products first. They will be able to produce about 30,000 devices on average. Each robot is costing $20 – 25,000.
One thing is for sure, both Apple and Foxconn seem confident when it comes to demand for the upcoming iPhone flagship.
