Toyota is going to release the FCV hydrogen fueled car at the beginning of 2015.
It will launch in Japan first at around $70,000 and the automaker is already in the process of preparing the launch across the globe.
The FCV will have a range of 700kms and is refueled in as little as 3 minutes.
Hydrogen can be produced in various ways including wind power and solar and once it is compressed it actually a higher energy density than batteries.
If this lives up to the potential Toyota believes it has we might see this also impacting automakers such as Telsa that have been betting big on electric cars. For that to happen though, we would have to see some high performance and luxury hydrogen vehicles to come out.
