From Surfer to Billionaire in 10 years

Nicholas Woodman founded GoPro 10 years ago, the company has experienced tremendous growth generating an annual revenue of close to $1 billion.

In 2012 Foxconn had invested $200 million which valued the company at $2.25 billion, now the company is set for an IPO in which they intend to sell 17.8 million shares in a price range of $21 – $24 per share.

Former surfer, founder and CEO of the company, Nicholas Woodman is planning to sell 3.56 million shares which could leave him with as much as $85.44 million in cash.
He would remain the owner of 53.04 million shares, at the IPO price these would be worth close to $1.3 billion.
